There are many foods out there that cause inflamm

There are many foods out there that cause inflammation, but today we’re going to focus on the top seven offenders: milk, cheese, red meat, mayonnaise, coffee creamer, alcohol, and butter.

These are all common foods that many people consume, but sometimes at the expense of human health. Many of these foods cause inflammation because they are high in saturated and trans fats.

It is important to know which foods cause inflammation – and how – so that you can avoid those foods and instead consume anti-inflammatory foods that promote health.

We recommend avoiding these 7 foods that induce inflammation. In addition, it is important to note that ultra-processed foods like fast food, frozen meals, and processed meats have been linked to inflammation as well. So let’s dig a little deeper…

We are so excited to have cardiologist Dr. Columbus Batiste (@healthyheartdoc) on the podcast to have a well-rounded and deep discussion on healthy living.

Years ago he embarked on a crusade to educate and empower his patients to take control of their lives, and his passion and knowledge has expanded throughout communities all over the country.

After watching his father suffer from diabetes, Dr. Batiste went plant-based and launched the Integrative Cardiovascular Disease Program in California. Now that’s what we call “taking action!” His sole goal is to educate so that “each one can teach one” about the power of healthy plant-based foods.

This soon-to-be author, activist, cardiologist, and nonprofit-cofounder invites us all to become a part of the Healthy Heart Nation and talks to us about the best diet for a healthy heart, silent heart attacks, the Slave Food Project, and more.

After our Justice Cup campaign motivated Starbuc

After our Justice Cup campaign motivated Starbucks to drop the plant milk upcharge in the U.K., France, and Chile – they've been digging in their heels with the U.S.

So, we decided to email @starbucks CEO @howard.schultz today with this passionate plea from our friend and ally @chefbabette, the founder of @stuffieat_inglewood.

It’s imperative that Starbucks honors their commitment to the environment and communities of color by dropping the plant milk upcharge at all U.S. locations this year.

“Starbucks knows it’s the right thing to do, for its customers and the planet,” said Switch4Good executive director Dotsie Bausch. “Since targeting Starbucks, we have repeatedly raised the issues of dietary racism and the environmental impact of dairy, and it’s time for them to act like the progressive company they say they are.”

People should not have to pay more for a product that is better for their health, the environment, and animals. Starbucks has already dropped their surcharge in other countries, so they should be able to do it in the United States, too.

Our team has been exchanging emails today, expressing anger, disappointment, fear, disbelief and sheer hopelessness. We get out of bed every day, knowing that we’re waging an uphill battle and we accept that.

It’s 2022 and there are still millions of people that aren’t making the connection between the food on their plate and the effects on the planet, social justice, their health, the animals. Fine. We’ll educate them.

We’ll go to battle because maybe it’s ok that not everyone gets it yet. Maybe that’s forgivable and maybe patience and persistence is in order.

What happened today, in 2022, we CANNOT comprehend. We cannot accept that we’ve been set back to a decade when women had to fight for their equal rights. The ‘70s were history-making for the progress of women.

We banded together, fought for ourselves and other females, and secured what we believed would be our well-deserved seat at the table of every important conversation. Yet here we are. So it’s time to rise up and do it again.

One of our guiding principles at Switch4Good is fighting for equality.

We believe that all human and non-human animals should be free from harm, sheltered from oppression, and regarded with respect. As a female-founded non-profit organization, we feel deeply passionate about upholding the right for females to choose what is in the best interest of their bodies and their lives.

Whether it’s an oppressed human female or a subjugated mother cow – their bodily autonomy and bodily sovereignty must be protected.

How do the animals ever hope to have our protection and rights when we can’t even extend or uphold them for women?

Leave women alone and allow them to choose what’s right for their bodies.

Liberate mother cows and stop forcibly impregnating them against their will for milk profits.

Question leaders at the highest level and why they feel the need to exploit the feminine, to denigrate the right to choose, and to shun the principles of equality.

It’s a very dark day for Americans and for humanity as a whole.

All daughters, born and unborn, human and nonhuman, deserve a safer future than this.

We CAN do better than this. We MUST do better than this. Immediately.
