Yen Ang has been working in various roles since 2000. Yen started as a Lecturer at Nanyang Polytechnic in 2000. In 2009, they became the Director of the Adventist Lifestyle Center at Penang Adventist Hospital. From 2016 to 2021, they held various roles at San Bernardino County Public Health Department, including Assistant Program Director SNAP-Ed, Supervisor Public Health Nutrition, and Anti-Hunger Coalition Chair. In 2021, they were named Woman of the Year 47th AD California by Assembly Majority Leader Eloise Reyes. Yen also held the role of Assistant Clinical Professor at Loma Linda University from 2011 to 2021. Currently, they are the President of Public Health Nutrition at Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and the Vice President of Health at Tangelo.
Yen Ang obtained their DrPH, MPH, MS, RD in Preventive Care, Nutrition, Exercise from Loma Linda University between 2003 and 2009. Yen then went on to receive their Master of Science (MSc) in Exercise Science from Nanyang Technological University Singapore between 2008 and 2010. In 2009, they obtained their Registered Dietition certification from the American Dietetic Association. Yen is also an Exercise Specialist certified by the American College of Sports Medicine.
