Chocolate Peanut Butter Banana Ice Cream

Feb 18, 2020

Calm the sweet tooth with this chocolaty, peanut buttery frozen treat you can make in minutes (as long you have frozen bananas on hand). When your bananas start to get spotty, peel, chop, and store them in an air-tight container in the freezer so you can literally whip up this incredible protein-packed dairy-free banana ice cream whenever the craving calls.

Ingredients

Serves 2

4 frozen bananas
2 servings chocolate plant-based protein powder (or 2 heaping tablespoons cocoa powder)
1/4 cup peanut butter
splash of plant milk (if needed)

2 tablespoons dairy-free dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

1. Add the frozen bananas, protein powder or cocoa powder, and peanut butter to a high-speed blender. Add a splash of plant milk, if needed, to help blend. Blend until completely smooth (it will look like soft-serve).

2. If using, add in the dairy-free dark chocolate chips and pulse a few times.

3. Divide the banana ice cream equally into bowls, top with additional peanut butter if desired, and serve immediately.
